Neck Pain Treatment

Neck pain has emerged as a common problem in people. Your neck is made up of small bones called vertebrae that extend from the skull to the upper torso. Cervical discs absorb shock between the bones. The spinal column supports your head and protects the spinal cord. The bones, ligaments, and muscles of your neck support your head and allow for motion. Any abnormalities, inflammation, or injury can cause neck pain or stiffness. In many cases, it’s due to poor posture or overuse of mobile & computers. Loss of range of motion in your neck can also lead to shoulder pain, and/or pain/numbness in your arms and hands. Sometimes, neck pain is caused by injury from a fall, contact sports, or whiplash.

If you have neck pain that continues for more than a week, also is severe, or is accompanied by other symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.
