Spinal stenosis causes narrowing in your spine. It is when the spaces between the bones of spinal cord get narrow. Narrowing of bone puts pressure on the nerves that run from your spine to your arms and legs that causes pain. It occurs most often in your lower back or neck. It generally occurs in people older than 50. Although, young people with a spine injury or a narrow spinal canal are also at risk of getting spinal stenosis. Diseases such as scoliosis & arthritis can also cause spinal stenosis too.
