Work Injury

Work-related injuries can be devastating to the injured worker and his or her family. That’s why the skilled and highly experienced physical therapists at SOS PHYSIO developed a comprehensive work injury rehabilitation program that treats acute and chronic conditions.

WORK INJURY REHABILITATION GOALS:

  • To return the injured worker back to work through individualized work-related injury therapy
  • To assist case managers, adjustors and risk/safety managers in reducing lost days.

For patients who have been injured on the job, we implement manual therapy techniques, Active Release Techniques, exercise and modalities to speed return to work. Our therapists assess work duties and provide exercises that simulate workplace requirements. We do an ergonomic analysis on how a worker responds to their task at work, while reviewing the impact on their job performance.

OUR WORK INJURY TREATMENT APPROACH:

  • WORK CONDITIONING
If an injury at work has impeded your performance in the workplace, our work injury conditioning program provides a cautious approach to getting you back to work quickly and at an optimum performance level. This individualized therapy program focuses on helping the injured worker regain optimal function and return to work through physical conditioning and job simulation tasks.
  • FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION
The functional capacity evaluation (FCE) is an extensive evaluation that analyzes your ability to perform tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, kneeling, ladder and stair climbing, overhead reaching, crawling and bending activities. We provide detailed results to your physician and case manager. Your physician will use your FCE to determine if you are ready to return to work and any restrictions.
  • RETURN TO WORK EVALUATIONS
The information obtained is used to determine if the patient is physically able to return to work and perform his or her job safely and without complication.
  • ERGONOMIC SAFTY STUDY
Recommend job modifications that enable you to work safely and productively within specified work abilities
