What is a broken arm?
A broken bone is a fracture of the arm which involves one or more of the three bones of the arm that have been cracked. The arm consists of 3 major bones — the ulna, radius and humerus. If one has broken an arm, he/she should seek prompt medical attention. It is necessary to treat a fracture as soon as possible for proper healing. A simple break can be treated with a sling, ice and rest. However, the bone may require realignment.
